Disciplined Strategy

NuGen adopted an early disciplined strategy to maintain a lean organization and rely on founder capital to extend our runway and provide agility. This approach permitted NuGen to complete its foundational patent portfolio and, and with the support of TAMU's multidisciplinary team, to advance the core R&D on NuGen Engine™ design. The longer runway has also permitted NuGen to strategically position itself for emerging industry opportunities, anticipating and intending to capitalize on what have become rapidly accelerating positive industry developments.

NuGen has benefitted from, and is grateful, for the support received from academic collaborators, most notably TAMU, as well as the national labs, others in the nuclear industry and a network of trusted business and financial advisors.

NuGen is developing an innovative high-temperature gas-cooled microreactor for terrestrial, maritime and space use. It is called the NuGen Engine™ due to its versatility and robust compact configuration. The unique design, based on "first principles thinking", is a fully integrated, single-cycle system.
